Slowly leveled at Kilroy's boxing for the past 4 days and died before I hit legendary survivor due to disconnection. Needs moar luck, connection wise.

1. War, got r3 in Prophecies then start to frenzy through Factions and died at 1.8M exp to 3 groups of wallows.
2. Ranger, got r3, x3 protectors and died at 2.7M exp during hayda's quest. A group of simian joined the white mantle and wiped my party with splinter weapons.
3. Mesmer, got r3, x3 protectors and died at 2.1M exp coz 10k+ ping. =.=

have tried it a couple of times....my first attempt (monk) died on the starter island of factions to the rit boss at level 18 or 19, next one (mesmer) died at level 13 (meh), next one (paragon) died because my hubby over aggroed and didnt care that I was working on survivor (he thinks titles are dumb). she was just 10k short of level 1.
my male rit made it to level 1 which was what I had wanted so I dont remember where he died.
My ele made it to level 2 (700k) and died to a combo of lag and stupidity killing the wurms (and got too close to the oakheart guys)....and by the time I could move again---one death.
I still have 2 more in the works---one is at 300k, the other barely past level 1 (she is my back up if the other dies)....I dont play them much since lagg has been horrible at best. Would really like to get one character to level 3 (the ele who diead at 700 still hasnt gotten 1.3m xp yet and I have played her tons since she died).

we shall see how it goes.

My Rit died in Zen Daijun because I think fun > titles so I was blowing stuff up with [[Cruel was Daoshen], [[Ancestor's Rage], and [[Spirit Rift].

After hearing all the horror stories, I went absolutely paranoid on my Dervish, who didn't even TOUCH the starter missions until she was level 20. I got ferried to Consulate Docks, and the first thing I did with her new max armor set was give her a sup vigor.

So far, she's level 1 survivor.

I also never tried to level her when I thought there might be more lag than normal, since that seemed like the main cause of death.

Suicide right after monk earned the title. No armor/weaps/heroes and ran buck naked straight to the first mob I saw, never seen a lvl 20 character drop so fast. Now I don't worry about him dying on me anymore

para lvl 1- angelic bonding in frostmaws burrow
rit lvl 2-10k shy of r3, just before capping wep of remedy, lagged during a group of pop up mandragors in HM, : (

597,277 xp. No farming, no brawling, all legit xp. Beat factions, have sabway, two 15k sets... almost prot on all campains...

131 hours playing solo or with 1 other person, no deaths.... 5 minutes with a pug.

Never will I play with a pug again. Ever.

The only time I really tried, I died to a bunch of lvl 16 trolls in the Tyrian jungle. I just got sloppy and thought I could kill them before they killed me...

Other than that, I always died to the dreaded lag spike.

Sorry to hear, it's sad but true. Playing with people has killed my survivors more times than lag.

Henchmen and heroes are nearly 100% predictable and extremely reliable. Players do the stupidiest things at the worst moments (heck I do stupid mistakes too), be it due to distraction, being tired or their attention got diverted by something in real life. This is specially true for Monks or any healer class, don't count on them to save your ass because they will probably make a fatal mistake and it won't be long before it happens.

Back on topic, I lost a Level 13 Assassin two days ago in Zen Daijun. There was a MM necro leading the group so I felt safe and tried to melee some lone mobs. A few battles later, there was extra aggro, I took some hits and afflicted explosions, that combined with Miasma, took my health down to like 40... I started kiting around Tahlkora waiting for a heal, hit Shroud of Disdress, but an Afflicted Ele spotted me and toasted me with Lava Arrows. Could have left the game, it was a slow and stupid death.

Not a big loss though, just left game, deleted sin, went back to my Mesmer and not planning to make another anyway.

My Assassin was level 20 in Zen Daijun and died, just because the player monk didn't heal me. But I guess surivior (1) it the best title for a sin. Gives the people the impression, that you don't run in just to die.

I thought the brawling wasn't so bad, as long as you take scrolls with you.

But the 2 biggest survivor killers are random people and lagg.

After I got survivor on my monk, I died during a run to rata sum because some idiot warrior was itchy and started aggroing. It didn't matter anymore, but I specifically stayed away from people to get survivor.

Also the lagg is a real killer. Specifically in harder area's. Because of the reconnect option, logging out quickly doesn't necessarily keep you from dying because the session is still active waiting for you to reconnect.

So after I made level 10 I quickly went to EotN and went to the brawling dungeon. Actually with the scrolls of heroes insight (lasts 10 mins) and the dungeon reward, you make about 13-14k xp in NM, which takes about 7-8 mins to do. It's easy and quick in NM, can't really fail there...About an hours worth of gameplay for 100k xp , which means you can get your survival title in about 10 hours gameplay from where you are now. Just a thing to consider.

The game lags to much for me to seriously try for this title, plus my necro is my title achiever and as far as I know survivor is not account based, no way in hell I'm starting again with title getting just so I can add Survivor to the list.

I did make a new Ele recently, I decided to see how far into survivor I could get, I died when my monks h/h decided they would rather heal eachother when they lost 1% of their health than heal me when I was in trouble, AI ftl

My first 2 survivors died before even reaching lvl 20 because i was lazy.
My para (survivor) died in the realm of torment when a friend made a MASSIVE aggro that even imbagon couldn't save a party from total wipe. I was sitting on around 1 mill xp.

Roaring Ethers suddenly got the amazing ability to E-surge spike. ~6 of them target my earth henchie and the AoE wiped all but 4 members.

90 Damage x 6 Ethers = 540 = Death to henchies

Seriously, WTF! It's bad enough that we were balled. But they target the one henchie to pull off the spike. My Imbagon and 3 Rayway monks had ~100 health in 2 seconds... My 2 rayway monks cast their rezes after the henchies died. Some odd reason completely ignoring the dangerously low health we had. I pressed the X buttom. 0 Deaths. Thank God.

NPC's should not have the ability to 3, 2, 1, spike.
